Òrgan Sectorial de l'àmbit educatiu
El Consell Educatiu Municipal de Teià és un òrgan participatiu que tracta les polítiques municipals en termes educatius. Està format pels diferents centres educatius del municipi, així com col·lectius o entitats del sector com poden ser les AMPAs i representants tant polítics com tècnics de l'Ajuntament.
Els Consells Sectorials Municipals Són espais de trobada i debat sobre un àmbit, sector o territori concret, com per exemple la cultura, l’educació o un veïnat. Són encapçalats per la regidoria en la que delegui l’alcalde o alcaldessa i en formen part tant ciutadans i ciutadanes a títol individual com associacions i entitats, i representants de l’Ajuntament. També en poden formar part professionals del sector corresponent.
Els Consells serveixen com a espai de participació permanent que tracta les polítiques municipals sobre el seu àmbit, sector o territori, deliberant, formulant propostes i suggeriments, emetent informes o duent a terme les funcions que li siguin designades. Cada Consell té un reglament propi.

An participatory committee is a group of members of an organization who meet periodically to make decisions about a specific area or scope of the organization.
Participatory committees hold meetings, some are private and some are open. If they are open, it is possible to participate in them (for example: attending if the capacity allows it, adding points to the agenda, or commenting on the proposals and decisions taken by this organ).
Examples: A general participatory committee (which meets once a year to define the organisation's main lines of action as well as its executive bodies by vote), an equality advisory council (which meets every two months to make proposals on how to improve gender relations in the organisation), an evaluation commission (which meets every month to monitor a process) or a guarantee body (which collects incidents, abuses or proposals to improve decision-making procedures) are all examples of participatory committees.
